Kenya is home to a growing pool of highly skilled developers and engineers, and RTI has learned how to tap into this talent through training, mentorship, and global-standard practices. By blending local expertise with international experience, we deliver squads that are both cost-effective and world-class. Our founder, Mohamed Nuur, brings nearly two decades of global experience building enterprise systems and scaling technology at the world’s leading companies. He spent 5 years at Expedia and Amazon during their hyper-growth years, 7 years at SpaceX as a Senior Software Architect leading the design and build of WarpDrive, and later co-founded African startups Hava (5 years) and ZUMI (2 years) before founding RTI.

Before the onset of the pandemic, Mohamed made a strategic move to Nairobi, embarking on a journey of entrepreneurship. He co-founded Hava, a pioneering mobility startup, and subsequently transitioned to ZUMI, an innovative e-commerce venture. However, driven by his passion for technology and a desire to make a broader impact, Mohamed fulfilled his dream of establishing a software development services firm. Today, as the driving force behind Rapid Tech Insights, he continues to demonstrate his steadfast dedication to driving forward technological solutions and fostering innovation in the industry.

Mohamed built test automation tools that supported both companies during their hyper-growthyears, enabling them to scale operations without sacrificing quality.

SpaceX(7 years)

As Senior Software Architect, he led the creation of WarpDrive, a sophisticated enterprise system that helped SpaceX manage and scale its operations for pioneering space missions.

Hava (5 years)

Returning to Africa, Mohamed co-founded one of the region’s earliest ride-hailing and mobility platforms, focusing on technology that transformed local transportation.

ZUMI (2 years)
He later helped scale this e-commerce venture, empowering small businesses through digital tools and supply-chain innovation.
